Dear customers,
sell-ur-stuff regrets to announce that our store in Norland is closing. After four wonderful years serving the Kawartha Lakes area as your eBay Trading Assistant, sell-ur-stuff is closing its doors effective August 1st 2008.
This industry has been under constant strain while eBay has been increasing their selling and PayPal fees and as a result of these costly and complex charges we are unable to bring the same quality services to our customers for the price that we once did.
Since its opening in 2004, sell-ur-stuff has endured through ongoing financial challenges in an effort to sustain our commitment to our valued customers. The recent changes to eBay fees have only added to these existing challenges:
- eBay removing the right for sellers to leave negative feedback to deserving buyers
- eBay creating a DSR system with many flaws
- eBay reducing the number of items you pay to list down to only one of the same item showing in searches limiting the number of items people will see
- eBay removing sellers listings for no just cause
- eBay refusing to justify their actions
- eBay offering gimmicks to try and get increased listings that a child would not fall for
- eBay making me a featured seller, then refusing to offer any compensation or ‘eBay Canada gear’ as stated on their site
- lack of respect shown to sellers from eBay
These plus other reasons have finally brought our eBay Trading Assistant retail store to an end. The decision to close sell-ur-stuff has been difficult. We will miss the wonderful customers we have come to know over the years.
